Dans le 1er épisode, je vous ai montré comment utiliser l’IA générative (Dall-E, Midjourney) pour trouver de l’inspiration en termes de futurs désirables avec des sujets à représenter graphiquement comme la permaculture, un micro-parlement des espaces naturels, des villes et cadastres solaires et de l’habitat durable. Dans ce second épisode, je vous propose de chercher à illustrer d’autres aspects et d’insister sur l’aspect « désirable » de ces futurs possibles, donc à soigner les prompts (les requêtes en langage naturel, que je vous donnerai aussi tout à la fin de l’article).

La mer comme source d’énergie

L’océan et les mers recouvrent quand même plus de 70% de notre planète et pourraient fournir plus d’énergie que nous n’en avons besoin actuellement. Les besoins de l’humanité sont estimés à moins de 17 GTep (giga-tonnes d’équivalent pétrole) et rien que le vent en mer équivaut à 40 GTep. Bien sûr, la captation de cette énergie est un défi (environnement complexe, corrosion…) mais il y a déjà plusieurs solutions utilisées pour capter l’énergie marémotrice (les marées), hydrolienne (courants marins), houlomotrice (vagues), thermique (entre eau de surface et eau profonde), osmotique (différence de salinité), éolienne off-shore, et même solaire (panneaux au-dessus de la mer, boostés par la réverbération de l’eau).

La mer comme espace à protéger

On sait quels dangers pèsent sur la mer en tant qu’écosystème : surpêche, déchets plastiques et micro plastiques, morts de coraux, équilibre bouleversé par la fonte des glaces, etc. L’IA générative peut aussi permettre d’illustrer ces dangers mais comme cet article parle plutôt de futurs désirables, on va plutôt prompter des solutions :

Low tech – un choix durable et désirable ?

Si vous lisez ce blog, vous savez déjà que la low tech est un ensemble de solutions futées pour reproduire des procédés sans énergie tenant parfois du bricolage génial ou de l’ingénierie durable. J’avais donc envie d’imaginer des « classiques » de la low tech en usage dans un futur désirable :

Produire localement ce dont on a besoin

Alors que les élections européennes approchent, on entend beaucoup parler de réindustrialisation (militaire, énergétique, etc.) en Europe. Malgré toutes les entraves évidentes (plus facile de polluer ailleurs, manque des ressources premières, coût du travail, etc.), un futur désirable parmi d’autres pourrait être un futur des circuits courts et de la juste consommation. A quoi ressemblerait la production en circuit court de ce qui nous est strictement nécessaire ?
